The 101ers were a pub rock band formed in the 1974 most notable for containing Joe Strummer (The Clash). The band were named after the squat where they lived 101 Walterton Road
They played on the pub rock scene with residency at the Elgin Pub and supported the Pistols at the Nashville Rooms in early '76.
Mr Strummer would leave to form the Clash whilst another member of the band Clive Timperley would later join The Passions.
