Daniel Miller from 1978 on the Mute Records Label he founded. A label predominantly associated with Electronic Music. The label signed acts such as Depeche Mode, Erasure, Fad Gadget, Yazoo, Nitzer Ebb etc, etc.

This particular song was originally the B Side for T.V.O.D. but became much more popular and the lyrics are from J.G. Ballard's controversial 1973 novel 'Crash'.

It has been covered by many artists including Grace Jones (believable) and Suzi Quatro (unbelievable!), but she hasn't done a bad job!
