Pigbag were active between 1980 -83 and consisted of:

• Simon Underwood – Electric and Acoustic Bass
• James Johnstone – Alto Saxophone and Guitar
• Chris Lee – Trumpet and Steel Drums
• Ollie Moore – Tenor and Baritone Saxophone
• Roger Freeman – Trombone / Keyboards and Percussion
• Andy 'Chip' Carpenter – Drum kit and Percussion
• Chris Hamlin – Clarinet and Percussion
• Mark Smith – Electric Bass

Their biggest hit was 'Papa's got a brand new Pigbag' released in 1981 which did Ok reaching #2 in the UK Indie Chart, strangely it didn't hit the UK Singles Chart, however when it was re-released again 1982 it reached the dizzying heights of #3.

This track, Sunny Day was also released late in 1981, it reached #2 in the UK Indie Chart but could only make #53 in the Singles Chart.
