Fascist Dictator...
Street Art Style Poster, 'This Machine Kills Fascists'
For all those wannabe Fascist Dictators out there a wee bit of old skool punk from Bristol's The Cortinas!
This one being their debut single on the 'Step Forward' record label and released in 1977. The record label was run by Miles Copeland, The Police drummer Stewart Copeland's brother.
The band didn't do too badly in the early days in supporting The Stranglers at the Roxy Club in London and then headlining there themselves, as well as doing a 'Peel Session'...all that and the average ages of the band was just sixteen!
The lineup was:
- Nick Sheppard - Guitar
- Mike Fewings - Guitar
- Dexter Dalwood - Bass
- Daniel Swan - Drums
- Jeremy Valentine - Vocals
