You Make Me Sick!
You Make Me Sick....
The band's second single on the independent DJM Records label released in 1978. It was a record label founded by Dick James who had made his fortune controlling The Beatles publishing company Northern Songs.
...Anyway this is another band from Evesham, Worcestershire (see my previous post Up on the Roof).
Satan's Rats were formed in 1977 and were:
- Paul Rencher - Vocals
- Steve Eagles - Guitar/Vocals
- Roy Wilkes - Bass
- Ollie Harrison - Drums
Satan's Rats were fairly short lived and split in 1978 after releasing several
other singles. Roy Wilkes was to leave replaced by Dave Sparrow, also Paul Rencher left, the
remaining members later formed female fronted new wave act The Photos in 1980, the band scoring an album which hit the top 5 in the UK Album Charts.

Interestingly Ollie Harrison who was later to become a well known Film-maker, artist and animator would lend his drumming skills to other Evesham based band The Dancing Did as his brother Tim who was in the band persuaded him. He played drums for the band's eponymous single and for the song Squashed Things In The Road.
Steve Eagles also went on to become guitarist in Ted Milton's band Blurt.
